CANTON, NY – Senior Paul Bahamondes (Jackson, NJ/Jackson Memorial HS) and sophomore Tauqeer Qazi (Jersey City, NJ/McNair Academic) were the top Rutgers-Newark finishers as the Scarlet Raiders finished 27th in a field of 34 teams at the NCAA Atlantic Cross Country Regional on the campus of St. Lawrence University.

Bahamondes was 131st among 234 runners with a time of 28:49.7, finishing five slots ahead of Qazi at 28:56.9.

Rounding out the scoring for the Raiders were junior Daquan Bashir (Trenton, NJ/Trenton Central) who ran a 29:15.7 to finish 148th, senior Robert Ezewuiro (Hamilton, NJ/Hamilton West) at 30:08.4 for 179th place and freshman Owen Parani (Union City, NJ/Union Hill) at 35:15 for 227th place.
