PHILADELPHIA, PA – All five of the Rutgers-Newark's 16 runners who posted points lowered their times from last week as the Scarlet Raiders finished seventh in a highly-competitive field of 14 teams in the Cabrini Invitational on Belmont Plateau.
Cabrini Invitational Results
Junior
Tauqeer Qazi ran a 28:31.54 on the 8-kilometer course that Rutgers-Newark competed on last Saturday in the Belmont Classic. He was the top Raider finisher coming in 32nd in a field of 156 runners.
Freshman
Mohamed Gadalla clocked a 29:11.53 to finish 46th while junior
DaQuan Bashir was 60th with a time of 29:56.29.
Rounding out the scoring for the Raiders were senior
Robert Ezewuiro (62nd, 30:01.12) and sophomore
Rolland Ying (30:21.01).
Rutgers-Newark will compete in the CTC Championships at Richard Stockton College on Saturday.
