PHILADELPHIA, PA – Junior
Natascha Alves was the top Rutgers-Newark finisher as the Scarlet Raiders placed 12th among 13 teams in the Cabrini Invitational held at Belmont Plateau.

The Raiders generally improved their times against a strong field while covering the same 5-kilometer course that they had covered just a week before in the Belmont Classic.
Alves finished 81st in a field go 98 runners in a time of 24:30.88 to led the way for the Raiders.
First-year sophomore
Ania Shiyanova ran a 26:40.17 to finish 112th, just ahead of junior
Kenitra Washington who clocked a 27:06.65.
Rounding out the Raider scoring were junior
Selamawit Rutty (27:33.01) and
Krissy Arias (38:44.31).
Rutgers-Newark travels to Richard Stockton College on Saturday to run in the CTC Championships.
