Rachel Witt hit .600 with a match-high 10 kills and three aces, but the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy registered a 3-0 women's volleyball win. Set scores were 25-23, 25-20, 20-14.

Witt had 10 kills with just one error on 15 swings and added two assisted blocks to tally 14 points for
the Scarlet Raiders (1-22).

Gabi Mangieri had 20 assists and senior libero
Val Dauti totaled a dozen digs as the Raiders pushed the Mariners in the opening pair of sets.
Freshman middle blocker
Stephanie Touzan added five kills while junior middle blocker
Crystal Navarro added four kills and a solo block for the Raiders.
Jessica Tyack and Jesselyn La Valley had eight kills apiece to lead the balanced Marine attack.
Rutgers-Newark now has a week to prepare for a New Jersey Athletic Conference trip to Richard Stockton.
