CASTILE, NY – Junior
DaQuan Bashir was the top Rutgers-Newark finisher as the Scarlet Raiders placed 29th among 38 teams at the NCAA D-III Atlantic Regional Cross Country Championship hosted by Geneseo State University in Letchworth State Park.

Bashir clocked a 27:43.2 to finish 111th in a highly-competitive field of 264 runners and seniors
Robert Ezewuiro and
Peter Lake each turned in personal bests on the 8-kilometer course the help the Rutgers-Newark cause.
Tauqeer Qazi was the second Raider finisher, posting a time of 28:23.9 to finish ahead of Ezewuiro who capped his career with a time of 28:40.0. Ezewuiro trimmed over 17 seconds off of the time he posted in the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships on October 31.
Sophomore
Rolland Ying ran a 29:19.9, just ahead of Lake's 29:31.7 which rounded out the Rutgers-Newark scoring.
Gerard Farao clocked a 33:07.1 to round out the Scarlet Raider performance.
