NEWARK, NJ – Junior midfielder Estiven Benitez has been named to the 2009 ECAC D-III Metro Men's Soccer All-Star squad.

The first-team All-New Jersey Athletic Conference selection was named to the ECAC's second unit after helping the Scarlet Raiders to a 13-6-4 record and the program's first NJAC Championship Tournament berth. The Raiders' win total was a school record and Rutgers-Newark earned its second straight berth in the ECAC Metro Championship playoffs.
