Jared Tactuk were named the Rutgers-Newark Male and Female Athletes of the Year, respectively, to highlight the annual Scarlet Raiders Awards Dinner in the Paul Robeson Campus Center.

Nearly 300 attended the annual dinner, including Chancellor
Steven Diner who helped present the Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year Award to soccer’s
Mike Svec. The women’s recipient of the award,
Sasha Potter of the women’soccer, squad, did not attend.
Rookie of the Year honors went to men’s basketball’s
Greg Moore and women’s soccer’s
Liana Abreu.
