NEW YORK – Rutgers-Newark senior
Erin Marshall punched her ticket to the ECAC Outdoor Championships by clocking a school-record 4:46.81 in the 1500-meter run at the NYC Qualifying Challenge on Randall’s Island.

Marshall shaved nearly six seconds off of the mark she set last spring to finish third in a strong field of 21 runners. She was the top Division III finisher. She joins the list of Scarlet Raiders now set to compete in the upcoming ECAC Outdoor Championships on March 14 at Springfield College.
Sophomore
Kenitra Washington posted a personal best of 13.43 in the 100-meter dash while freshman
Deja Jones ran a 30.14 in the 200.
Junior
Cierra Farquharson clocked a 1:01.54 in the 400-meter dash with freshman
Selamawit Rutty posting a time of 1:03.64.
On the men’s side, senior
Robert Ezewuiro was 13th in a field of 18 in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:34.90.
Sophomore
Tauqeer Qazi ran a 1:57.76 to place 19th in a field of 54 and pace three Raider runners in the 800-meter run. Sophomore DaQuan Bashir clocked a time of 2:00.14 while junior sprinter
Nnaemeka Ibeh ran a 2:00.99.
Sophomore
Charles Awe competed in the 200 and 400-meter dashes, posting times of 31.31 and 57.46, respectively.
