Deshawn Singleton and
James Johnson have been named to the 2010 All-New Jersey Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Team, commissioner Terry Small has announced.

Singleton, a 6-foor-4 power forward, and Johnson, a 5-foot-11 swing guard, were named to the second team by a vote of the league's 10 head coaches.
The Scarlet Raider team has posted a school record for wins (20-7) behind the play of Singleton, Johnson and their four classmates –
Phil Barnes,
Ryan Gillens,
De'Vion Manning and
Tim Smith.
Singleton, a 2009 first team pick for the squad, became the program's 11th player to reach the 1,000-point plateau in January. He is second on the Raider squad in scoring (11.7) and rebounding (5.1) while leading the team in blocked shots (22). He has made 46.8% of his field goal tries and leads Rutgers-Newark in free throws made (82) and attempted (124).
Johnson, who made the honorary roster for the first time, led the Raiders and is seventh in the NJAC with a 14.7 scoring average. He is second in the NJAC in 3-point field goal percentage (43.8) and tied for third in long-range jumpers made (60). He has posted four 20-point efforts, including a career-high 29-point explosion in a 77-61 win over New Jersey City on February 6.
