MIDDLEBURY, VT -- At 11 a.m., Rutgers-Newark's men's basketball team will have its final walk through practice session for its NCAA Division III Championship Tournament regional debut tonight against Rhode Island College in Pepin Gym.

Tip-off is set fo 6 p.m. for the Scarlet Raiders and Anchormen before host Middlebury College takes on Gordon College in the 8 p.m. nightcap.  The winners meet tomorrow night at 7 for the regional crown and the right to advance to sectional play.  The losers pack their bags.

The Scarlet Raiders will gather for a buffet breakfast at historic Middlebury Inn at 9 a.m. before taking a short bus ride to the expansive Middlebury campus located on the other side of the postcard Vermont village.

Ninth-year head coach Joe Loughran led his squad through a quick 1-1/2 hour practice in Pepin Gym on Thursday before the team dined out at a local restaurant just a short walk in the crisp weather from the inn.
