NEWARK, NJ – Rutgers-Newark senior Brian Barbera put forward the best Scarlet Raider performance, but John Jay rolled to a 9-0 win on the Golden Dome Courts.

Barbera fell to Bloodhound freshman Stephen Walz, 6-3, 6-3, on the No. 4 singles court and teamed with sophomore Gafar Ayinde for an 8-3 double loss on the second flight as John Jay did not drop a set in upping its record to 2-0.

The Scarlet Raider (0-3) host Lehman at 1 p.m. on Saturday on The Golden Dome Courts.
