GLASSBORO, NJ – Freshman
Kevon Brown inched closer to becoming the first Rutgers-Newark track athlete to qualify for the NCAA Division III Championships by lowering his school record in the 110-meter hurdles twice at the Rowan Open.

Brown ran a 15.07 to finish fourth in the preliminary round before taking third in the finals with a clocking of 14.94 – just .06 off the provisional qualifying standard for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships.
Freshman
Tcahz Amevor won the 5000-meter run with a personal best of 16:43.20 in a field of 13 runners while sophomore
Tauqeer Qazi was second in a field of 24 in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:03.02.
Freshman
Corey Graves was fifth in the 400-meter hurdles in a time of 59.93 while rookie
Shariff Stubbs took ninth in a field of 27 runners in the 100-meter dash with a clocking of 11.40.
Senior
Nnaemeka Ibeh ran a 52.82 in the 400-meter dash to finish ninth in a field of 40 runners.
Rutgers-Newark will compete in the CTC Outdoor Championships at DeSales University on April 18.
