SWARTHMORE, PA – Freshman Corey Graves qualified for the ECAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships at the Swarthmore Last Chance Meet on Monday.

Graves clocked a 56.26 to lower his own Rutgers-Newark record, finishing ninth in a field of 14. 

Also competing for the Scarlet Raiders were freshman Danay Wood, sophomore Joshua Stinson and senior Robert Ezewuiro. 

Wood bettered her school record in the discus by over two meters, getting off a best effort of 38.76 meters to finish second in a field of 10 throwers. 

Stinson had a best throw of 43.24 meters in the javelin while Ezewuiro ran a time of 10:20.38 in the 3000-meter steeplechase. 

Graves earned his ticket for the bus to the ECAC Outdoor Championships which will be held on Thursday and Friday at Springfield College.
