NEWARK, NJ – Rain has forced postponement of tonight's ECAC Metro Championship game between Rutgers-Newark and Rutgers-Camden until Thursday at 3:30 p.m.

The Scarlet Raiders (22-20) were to host the Scarlet Raptors (20-18) at 7 p.m. in Bears & Eagles Riverfront Stadium – but the opening round game in the eight-team tournament will now be played a day late.

Only the Old Westbury at Stevens opening round game is scheduled to be played tonight on a turf field facility in Hoboken.  Game time is set for 7:30 p.m.

Also pushed back to Thursday are Ramapo at top-seeded FDU-Florham at 3:30 p.m. and Richard Stockton at Staten Island at 6 o'clock.

The semifinal round will be played as scheuduled on Saturday with the title game on Sunday.  Sites and times of those contests will be announced following tomorrow's games.
