Kevon Brown placed third in the 110-meter hurdles to highlight Rutgers-Newark's competition in the ECAC Outdoor Championships hosted by Springfield College.

Brown clocked a 15.02 – his third fastest time of the season – to finish behind Ramapo freshman Jermaine Boyd and RPI junior Alec Marshall in the eight-man final.
Rookie sprinter
Saymah Nah posted her second best time in the 200-meter dash at 26.29 seconds to finished 10th among 18 runners. She also was 10th in the preliminary round of the 100-meter dash yesterday.
Freshman
Danay Wood placed 16th in the discus with a best throw of 36.02 meters while classmate
Alisha Gray was 15th in the shot put with a heave of 11.27 meters.
The men's 4 x 100-meter relay unit of
Nnaemeka Ibeh, Brown,
Shariff Stubbs and
Justin Booker ran the second fastest time in R-N history, finishing 10th among 20 teams in a time of 43.53.
Rookie
Corey Graves ran the 400-meter hurdles in 56.47 seconds to take 14th in a field of 22 runners.
Ibeh, who was hampered by hamstring problems for the entire outdoor season, hobbled home in 54.13 in the 400-meter dash to end a spectacular career on a sad note. Ibeh was the first Scarlet Raider to qualify for ECAC indoor and outdoor competition as a member of the inaugural Rutgers-Newark track & field team.
