NEWARK, NJ – Rutgers-Newark track & field graduate intern
Janine Davis has been named the “Indoor Track Athlete of the Decade” by the Bergen Record.

The Queen of Peace High School product set the national prep record in the 600 meters before going on the run in track programs at the University of Texas and the University of Arkansas. She still holds Bergen County indoor records in the 300, 400, 600 and 800 meter distances.
Davis, who earned a bachelor of science in public administration from the University of Arkansas in 2009, joined
Juan Edney's staff at Rutgers-Newark in January of this year. She is pursuing a master's of public administration at Rutgers-Newark.
