Additionally, junior midfielder Breno Lustosa was named honorable mention all-conference.

Hubert Dul | NJAC Midfielder of the Year | First-Team All-NJAC
Dul returned for a fifth year at Rutgers-Newark after injury took his 2016 and he has not disappointed, playing a major role on both ends for the Scarlet Raiders. A 2014 second-team All-NJAC honoree, Dul has been marvelous this year, helping Rutgers-Newark to 18 wins against just two losses during the regular season. Dul is second on the Scarlet Raiders and 10th in the conference in points with 20, and he sits third in the NJAC in assists with eight.

The Wallington native has gained steam as the season has aged, posting 12 points in the team's last eight games, including four in the regular-season finale against William Paterson University and three in an NJAC win against The College of New Jersey.

Dul enters the 2017 postseason with 16 goals, 23 assists and 55 points in 81 career matches played for the Scarlet Raiders.

Fabio De Sousa | NJAC Offensive Player of the Year | First-Team All-NJAC
De Sousa – a three-time NJAC Offensive Player of the Week honoree – has been masterful once again for Rutgers-Newark after receiving Rookie of the Year honors in 2016. The second-year forward leads in NJAC in goals per game and is second in points per game, heading into the postseason with 17 goals and six assists for a total of 40 points. De Sousa is second nationally in game-winning goals with eight, tallying at least one point in 16-of-20 matches played. The Long Branch native had two goals in three games and at least three points seven times, putting 59 of his 119 total shots on target.

De Sousa has registered the last two game-winners for Rutgers-Newark and 18 of his 40 points have come inside the conference.

Andres Medina | NJAC Goalkeeper of the Year | First-Team All-NJAC
A 2016 second-team All-NJAC selection, Medina has been even better in 2017, recording 10 individual shutouts and maintaining an NJAC-best .47 goals-against average. The second-year standout has allowed just nine goals against in more than 1,700 minutes of action, compiling 18 triumphs against just two defeats.

Medina has allowed more than one goal just twice all season and once in regulation, ranking in the top-10 nationally in shutouts (fifth), minutes (eighth), save percentage (ninth; .880) and goals-against average (12th).

For his career, Medina has made 43 starts, recorded 19 complete-game shutouts and allowed just 28 goals against in 3,726 minutes of action.

Muniz, Goldy and Szoldrowski all earn second-team accolades from the NJAC.

Muniz is a first-time all-conference honoree, serving as a major force for the Rutgers-Newark offense. He has six goals and four assists for 14 points, notching three game-winning goals as well. The junior secured the difference-maker in two of the first four Scarlet Raider wins this season, and most recently tallied a pair of assists in R-N's regular-season finale against William Paterson.

Muniz – a two-year Scarlet Raider – now has 12 goals and 10 assists for 34 points in 42 games at Rutgers-Newark.

Goldy is a member of the stingiest defense in the NJAC in terms of team goals-against average, allowing just .443 goals per game and recording a shutout in an unprecedented 65 percent of its matches this season. Rutgers-Newark has limited the opposition's chances, allowing just 79 shots on goal and 56 corner kicks against. The Scarlet Raider defense is permitting just 10 total shots per outing, and Newark has given up just seven regulation markers in 2017.

Goldy has been a staple of the field for the Scarlet Raiders since his freshman season of 2015, playing in 65 games the last three years.

Szoldrowski picks up his third different all-league honor from the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) as a center back for Head Coach Kevin East. A leader and a player that is always in the right spot at the right time, Szoldrowski was honorable mention All-NJAC in 2015 and a first-team all-conference award winner as a junior. The Lawrenceville native also earned All-Region distinction in 2016, and he has the Rutgers-Newark defense performing at a high-level in his final go round, allowing just six goals against in nine NJAC matches.

Lustosa was a second-team All-NJAC pick in his first year at Rutgers-Newark as a sophomore, and he has backed that up with an honorable mention selection as a junior. Lustosa plays a massive role on both ends of the field for the Scarlet Raiders, limiting the opposition with excellent defense and facilitating the potent offense. He has one goal and three assists to date, but his passing, defense and tenacity provide priceless value for R-N.

Second-seeded Rutgers-Newark will take on third-seeded Montclair State University in the conference semifinals Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. on Alumni Field. Tickets are $5 for adults and $2 for students, seniors and children. All those with a valid Rutgers-Newark ID receive FREE entry to the game.
