Raphael Araujo is one of the most decorated Scarlet Raiders in the history of any program at Rutgers-Newark. Araujo played for the Scarlet Raiders for two seasons and set the single season goal record in his first year with the team with 27. In just two years with the Scarlet Raiders he finished with 46 career goals and 10 assists, good for 102 points. At the time, he was the first All-American in Rutgers-Newark history (D3soccer.com 2nd team and NSCAA second team). In 2013 he was named ECAC Metro Offensive Player of the Year while also being named NJAC Co-Offensive Player of the Year.

Araujo was a constant threat to score whenever he got the ball at his feet and was the missing piece that helped propel the Scarlet Raiders to success.
