Rutgers-Newark Athletics

Record-setting triple jumper and member of several Raider relay units… owns R-N triple jump record both indoors (13.16 meters) and outdoors (12.91)… also set indoor long jumper mark (5.19). 

SENIOR (2009-10): Ran in three cross country meets for the Raiders in the fall. 

JUNIOR (2008-09): INDOOR T&F: Extended his R-N record in the triple jump to 13.16 meters at the NJAC Indoor Championships (2/23/09), taking fourth place in a field of 14 competitors… jumped 12.30 meters or better in five meets. 

SOPHOMORE (2007-08): INDOOR T&F: Established R-N records in the triple jump and long jump as a member of the inaugural team… leaped 12.89 meters in the first-ever indoor competition for R-N, the Ursinus Track Classic (12/8/07) to set triple jump mark… posted a 5.19 meter long jump in his only competition at the NYC Gotham Cup (1/18/08)… also ran as a member of the 4 x 400-meter relay team. 

HIGH SCHOOL: Four-year letterwinner in track at Absegami HS who set school triple jump mark in junior year, then bettered it as a senior… won regional title in the triple jump as a senior and helped school’s 4 x 400 relay team to berths in the state meet as a junior and senior… two-sport letterman who also earned team’s “most improved player” award while receiving three varsity letters for the Braves... academically, was an Honor Roll student.

PERSONAL: An academic senior at Rutgers-Newark who is in his third year of athletic competition… majoring in finance… only son of Angela and Michael Booker who has one older and one younger sister… his father played college basketball at Northern Illinois.
