Biography
SOPHOMORE (2010-11): Rutgers-Newark Co-Male Athlete of the Year… reached the NCAA D-III Indoor and Outdoor Nationals in the 55- and 110-meter hurdles, respectively.
INDOORS: First All-American in R-N track & field history… finished eighth in NCAA D-III Indoor Nationals in the 55-meter hurdles, shattering his school record in the preliminary round with a clocking of 7.65… All-NJAC first team after winning 55M hurdles in time of 7.76… three time NJAC Men’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week (12/5/10, 1/9/11 & 1/30/11)… clocked team season bests in five events – 55M dash (6.77), 55M hurdles (7.65), 60M dash (7.31), 60M hurdles (8.20) and 200M dash (22.81) while setting R-N records in both hurdle events… Coaches’ Award recipient for dedication to team.
OUTDOORS: Ran the four fastest 110-meter times in R-N history to earn a trip to the NCAA D-III Outdoor Nationals, becoming the first Raiders runner to reach the outdoor meet… also became the first R-N athlete to reach both the indoor and outdoor national meets… finished 12th in a field of 19 at the nationals with a time of 14.71… blazed to a school-record 14.62 time to take second in the ECAC Outdoor Championships preliminaries… was third in the ECAC Outdoor finals with a time of 14.75… earned second-team All-NJAC by finishing second in the 110M hurdles in a time of 14.82… also ran the 200M dash, winning the Rowan Open with a clocking of 23.66… best 200M time of the season was a 23.24 at the Ramapo Invitational.
FRESHMAN (2009-10): Rutgers-Newark Male Rookie Athlete of the Year
INDOORS: NJAC Men’s Indoor Track & Field Rookie of the Year… NJAC Indoor Men’s 200-meter dash champion… established R-N records while qualifying for the ECAC Indoor Championships in the 55-meter and 60-meter hurdles… clocked an R-N record 7.88 seconds in the 55-meter hurdles to finish fourth in the ECAC Indoor Championships finals (3/5)… five of his six times in the 55 hurdles were 8.00 seconds or under… had three 60-meter hurdle times under 8.7 seconds topped by an R-N record 8.58 at the NYU Fastrack Invitational (2/26)… became first R-N male to win an event at the NJAC Indoor Championships (2/22) when he ran the third fastest time in R-N history (22.53) to win the 200-meter dash… that time qualified him for the ECAC Indoor Championships.
OUTDOORS: Set R-N record while qualifying for the ECAC Outdoor Championships in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.94 seconds at the Rowan Open (4/9)… also posted an ECAC qualifying time with a 15-flat in the 110 hurdles at the Lions Invitational (4/24)… ran the fourth fastest time in the 100-meter dash in R-N history, clocking an 11.54 at the Ramapo Invitational (4/3)… twice ran 22.64 in the 200-meter dash – CTC Outdoor Championships (4/18) and Delaware State Invitational (5/1) – for the fourth fastest time in Raider history… ran second leg on R-N record 4 x 100-meter relay unit which clocked a 43:51-second time at the NJAC Outdoor Championships (5/8) to qualify for the ECAC Outdoor Championships… ran second leg on 3 x 200-meter relay unit which set an R-N record with a clocking of 1:31.13 at the Penn Relays (4/24).

NOTES: Transferred to R-N in the spring of 2010 after playing football at East Stroudsburg University… notched 18 tackles with a quarterback sack while starting in five games at defensive end for the Warriors.
HIGH SCHOOL: Two-sport all-star at West Deptford HS in track and football… in track, ran the 55-meter hurdles in a time of 7.42 at the NYC Armory… also has Eagles’ school records in 60-meter hurdles (8.18), good for eighth place in the indoor nationals… school record holder for individual points in a season… Group 2 state champion in 200-meter dash (21.88) and 55-meter high hurdles… 2-time All-South Jersey in 55-meter high hurdles and 110-meter high hurdles… finished fourth in 110-high hurdles at Meet of Champions in a personal best time of 14.37… also finished eighth in the 200-meter dash at the Meet of Champions… clocked a personal best of 11.1 in the 100-meter dash… ran a leg on school-record 4 x 200-meter relay team (1:21.2)… in football, was a 2-time first team All-Colonial Conference and senior All-Group 2 defensive end… a member of the 2007 Group 2 state championship squad… helped Eagles to back-to-back conference titles (2007 & 2008).
PERSONAL: Plans to major in business at R-N… son of Gregory Brown and Kelly Archie… resides with grandparents Doris and Steven Harvey… has older sister, Tamaria, and younger siblings Kenya, Khalil, Essence and Milani.
