NEWARK, NJ – Top-flight junior Nicole Rubinetti (West Orange, NJ/West Orange HS) helped power Rutgers-Newark to a 9-0 win over William Paterson in a New Jersey Athletic Conference women's tennis match on The Golden Dome Courts.

Rubinetti improved to 5-4 in singles play with a decisive 6-0, 6-0 win over the Pioneers' Rachel Menzzopane (Neptune, NJ/Neptune). Rubinetti also teamed with sophomore Monica Iturralde (Kenilworth, NJ/David Brearley) to climb to 5-4 in doubles play with an 8-2 win over Menzzopane and junior Joanna Jakobik (Garfield, NJ/Garfield) on the No. 1 court.

WPU (1-4, NJAC 0-2) hosts NJAC-leading The College of New Jersey at 10 a.m. on Saturday while the Raiders begin a grueling weekend on Friday. Rutgers-Newark (5-4, NJAC 2-2) hosts New York City College of Technology on Friday at 4 o'clock, Lehman at noon on Saturday and NJAC foe Ramapo at noon on Sunday on The Golden Dome Courts.
