Rutgers-Newark competes at the top level of NCAA Division III as a founding member of the New Jersey Athletic Conference. Sixteen varsity sports are offered evenly divided between women and men with the goal of providing each student-athlete with the best opportunity to train, learn and compete to reach his or her potential.

Rutgers-Newark offers an unparalleled avenue to develop as an athlete while pursuing a Rutgers University degree on the most diverse college campus in the nation.
