NEWARK, NJ – Sophomore Monica Iturralde (Kenilworth, NJ/David Brearley HS) was the only Rutgers-Newark player to post a victory as Richard Stockton powered its way to a 6-1 New Jersey Athletic Conference women's tennis victory on The Golden Dome Courts.

The match was halted during singles play because of rain showers.

Iturralde improved to 5-1 on the season by downing Shelley Sai, 6-4, 6-2, on the No. 5 singles court.
The Scarlet Raiders (3-3, NJAC 1-2) lost for the third time in four matches while the Ospreys (7-1, NJAC 1-1) bounced back from their lone loss of the season to The College of New Jersey.

The Raiders host Hunter at 1 p.m. on Saturday in a non-conference match.
