NEWARK, NJ – Junior forward Bimpe Fageyinbo (Morris Plains, NJ/Parsippany Hills HS) had eight of her 13 points as Rutgers-Newark raced out to a 41-24 lead on its way to a 75-61 New Jersey Athletic Conference win over Rowan in The Golden Dome.

Junior guard Youngor Kehleay (Eatontown, NJ/Monmouth Regional) also had 13 points for the Scarlet Raiders (11-3, NJAC 1-2) while senior center Stephanie Ross (Nutley, NJ/Nutley) posted a double-double with a game-high 13 rebounds to go along with 11 points. Senior forward Eni Fageyinbo (Morris Plains, NJ/Parsippany Hills) chipped in 10 points.

Reserve sophomore forward Amanda Jennings hit five of six shots from the floor to pace the Profs (8-5, NJAC 2-1) with 14 points while junior guard Brynn DeGroff had 10 points, four rebounds, three assists and three steals.
The Raiders averted opening their NJAC slate with three straight losses while keeping the Profs from opening with three consecutive conference victories.
Rutgers-Newark travels to New Jersey State on Wednesday for another conference test in a women's and men's doubleheader. The women are set to tip off at 6 p.m. with the men to follow at 8.
