POMONA, NJ – Despite another strong performance from freshman defender Jessica Gavilanes (Orange, NJ/Union Catholic) and the Scarlet Raiders' backline, the Scarlet Raiders fell short against New Jersey Athletic Conference rival Richard Stockton, 1-0, falling to 1-3-1 in conference play.

Mired in another defensive struggle, freshman Julia Caseres (Union, NJ/Union) gave the Scarlet Raiders their best scoring chance of the day in the 13th minute with a shot which bounded off the crossbar. Gavilanes put a shot on goal for Rutgers-Newark in the 40th minute.
