MAHWAH, NJ – Rutgers-Newark saw its three-match winning streak snapped as Ramapo posted a 9-0 win at the Ramapo Athletic Center.

Senior Baris Sonmez put up the best fight for the Scarlet Raiders (3-2), falling on the No. 4 singles court to the Roadrunners' Keith Dobrin, 6-1, 7-5. Ramapo did not drop a set in singles play.

In doubles, sophomores Kevin Santos and Lam Nguyen fell 8-5 to Prasanna Fernando and Matt Soos, 8-5, at the top flight.

Ramapo improved to 7-5 on the year.

Rutgers-Newark hosts Caldwell on The Golden Dome Courts at 1 p.m. tomorrow.
