MAHWAH, NJ – Freshman outside hitter Toni Moppert (Woodcliff Lake, NJ/Pascack Hills HS) had nine kills and an ace to lead Rutgers-Newark, but Ramapo stayed unbeaten in New Jersey Athletic Conference volleyball with a 3-0 win in the Bradley Center.

The Scarlet Raiders (1-13, NJAC 1-2) also got four kills from sophomore middle blocker Na-Keta Michael (Newark, NJ/West Side) and three kills, three digs and an ace from junior outside hitter Rose Anna Beljour (Hackensack, NJ/Hackensack).

Junior libero Val Dauti (West Orange, NJ/West Orange) tallied five digs and an ace while junior setter Christina Francisco (West Orange, NJ/West Orange) collected 14 assists.

Kayla Anders paced the Roadrunners (8-5, NJAC 3-0) with 14 kills on just 17 swings, hitting a sizzling .765 to lead her squad to a hefty .537 hitting evening (33 kills, four errors, 54 attacks).

Rutgers-Newark visits Montclair State on Tuesday at 7 p.m. for another NJAC test.
