NEWARK, N.J. | The Scarlet Raiders women's tennis team hosted Hunter College this afternoon at the Golden Dome Tennis Courts and fell, 8-1. The win bumps the Hawks to 1-0 overall while the Scarlet Raiders drop to 0-2 on the year.

The duo of Nell Karpinski and Bryanna Thaxton picked up a win in doubles to start the afternoon. The duo won on court one, 8-5, to give the Scarlet Raiders their first win of the season. From there, Hunter College took control winning the other two doubles.

Sophia Raza nearly picked up a win in singles by going three sets but the score would not fall in her favor. 

The Scarlet Raiders return to action on Thursday, September 12 against Lehman College in Bronx, NY.
