Celebrating National Girls & Women's In Sports Day

NEWARK, NJ | February 3, 2021, is the 35th Annual National Girls & Women in Sports Day as created by the Women's Sports Foundation. The annual celebration encourages girls to play, be active and realize their full potential through the power of sport.

Rutgers University-Newark is home to six varsity sports (Women's basketball, soccer, softball, cross country, track & field, and volleyball) and always competes at the highest level. Rutgers University-Newark has several outstanding women who continuously pave the way for future generations while also serving as role models.

On this day, we aim to spotlight those women, telling their stories and celebrating their successes.
