49 Scarlet Raiders Named To NJAC All-Academic Team

PITMAN, N.J. | The New Jersey Athletic Conference announced their 2020-21 All-Academic team with a record number of student-athletes, 1,236, named for the academic year. Jacquline Lara and Daniel Reardon led the way for the Scarlet Raiders by being named to the First Team. Iasia Goeloe and Daniel Rivera were named to the Second Team.  

In order to be eligible for the NJAC All-Academic teams, a student-athlete must be a sophomore, junior or senior who has competed in a conference-sponsored sport while earning a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.20 over 24 credits at their respective institution. Freshmen and first-year transfers — with the exception of those from other NJAC schools — are not eligible. Each of the conference's 10 member institutions receive two First Team and two Second Team selections, as well.

There were a total of 49 student-athletes from Rutgers University-Newark that were named to the list.
