Rutgers-Newark Athletics

SENIOR (2014): Saw action in 10 matches with four starting assignments for the 14-8-2 Scarlet Raiders who set program records for victories and best NJAC finish (4-4-1) while gaining the programs’ first NJAC Championship Tournament berth… knee injury ended her 4-year career… put three of her eight shots on goal.

JUNIOR (2013): Saw action in every match with four starting assignments for the 5-14-1 Scarlet Raiders… totaled eight points on three goals and a pair of assists… put 65% (13-20) of her shots on goal… netted the game-winning goal off of a corner kick in the sixth minute in a 2-0 victory over Randolph-Macon (8/31/13) in the Seahawk Invitational… scored goals in back-to-back wins over John Jay (10/14/13) and New Jersey City (10/14/13)… contributed assists in back-to-back win over York NY (9/7/13) and Old Westbury (9/11/13)… started the final match of the season as the goalkeeper in a 3-0 loss to Stockton (10-30/13), making five saves while allowing three goals in 82 minutes.

SOPHOMORE (2012): Started in a dozen matches while playing in all 20 contests for the 4-15-1 Scarlet Raiders… after freshman Kelsey Benoit was lost for the season, started three matches in goal while sharing goalkeeping duties with rookie Mercedes Lois… went the distance between the pipes to get the win in a 3-2 victory over New Jersey City (10/10)… shared shutout victories in goal with Lois against John Jay (10/8) and Medgar Evers (10/15)… posted a 3.03 goals against average with a record of 2-1-0… made 14 saves while allowing 11 goals… put seven of her 20 shots on goal… netted a goal in the 11-0 win over Medgar Evers (10/15).

FRESHMAN (2011): Finished the season as the regular goalkeeper, playing in every match with 14 starting assignments… posted a 1-7-0 record with a 3.37 goal against average… totaled 44 saves against 28 goals allowed by facing 154 shots… got the win by making three saves against one goal allowed in a 2-1 victory over FDU-Florham (10/5/11)… capped the season by making eight saves in a 1-0 loss to Richard Stockton (10/26/11)… notched nine saves in a 2-0 loss to Drew (10/3/11)… shared a shutout win with Camelia Valentin in a 9-0 decision over John Jay (9/26/11).

HIGH SCHOOL: Three-sport athlete at Perth Amboy HS... four-year letterwinner in soccer, earning team MVP honors... all-state and all-division for the Panthers... also lettered twice each in swimming and track... captained the swimming team and was MVP of the track squad.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Madalyn Saez and Julio Nunez... has three younger brothers (Mario, Alexander and Evan) and an infant baby sister (Olivia).
