Biography
SOPHOMORE (2012-13): CROSS COUNTRY: Ran two of the seven fastest 6K times in the R-N record book while competing in five meets… led R-N in the NJAC Championship (10/27/12) with a personal-best time of 26:55.65 which was the fourth fastest time in a 6K race in program history… finished first among R-N runners while posting a time of 24:51.51 in the 5K Penn State Brandywine Invitational (9/15/12) to finish eighth in a field of 45 runners… ran the seventh fastest 6K time in R-N history at the NCAA Atlantic Regional (11/10/12) in 27:31.0.
FRESHMAN (2011-12): INDOOR T&F: Competed in the 200 and 400-meter dashes… clocked the 10th fastest 60-meter dash time in R-N history with an 8.39 second effort in the Collegeville Classic (1/20/12)… ran the top three 400-meter times of the season with a personal best of 1:02.29 at the Frank Colden Invitational (2/4/12) to take third in a field of 17 runners… also notched a personal best of 27.59 in the 200-meter dash at the Frank Colden Invitational (2/4/12). OUTDOOR T&F: Set R-N records in the 200 and 400-meter dashes while running three 200s and seven 400s in the R-N Top 10… after lowering R-N mark in the 400-meter dash to 49.40 seconds at the NJAC Outdoor Championship (5/5/21), ran a 58.81 time at the Tuppany Twilight Last Chance Meet (5/14/12) to finish third in a field of 22 runners… owns top two 400 times and six of the fastest 400 clockings in R-N history… notched an R-N record in the 200-meter dash at the ECAC Outdoor Championship (5/18/12) with a clocking of 25.81 seconds… was sixth at NJAC Outdoor Championship (5/5/12) in the 200 in a time of 26.48 seconds… recorded three of the top six times in the 200 in the R-N record book.
HIGH SCHOOL: Group 2 sectional 100-meter dash champion as a senior at Hillside HS who earned three letters in track… took NJSIAA sectional 100 in a time of 12.93 as a senior… finished third in the sectionals in the 200-meter dash with a personal best of 26.87 as a junior... National Honor Society member.
PERSONAL: Plans to major in history at R-N… daughter of Marie and Pierre Polynice… has a younger brother (Romuald) and two younger sisters (Sarah and Emmalyn)… her cousin, Gregory Alexandre, is a Canadian Football League (CFL) defensive lineman who played for the Toronto Argonauts in 2011… her cousin, Randy Alexandre, played three years of basketball at Northern Michigan University.
