Dear Prospective Member,
The Golden Dome Athletic Center is looking to offer a Group Membership rate to local surrounding organizations and businesses. In order to receive this group rate, you would need to have a minimum of 10 individuals (18 years or older) purchase a Golden Dome Athletic Center Membership. The Group rate per member for a full year membership is $295.00.
Terms and Conditions:
1) To qualify for this group rate we would need a minimum of 10 employee names printed on company letterhead. Additional employees can be added by submitting their names on letterhead along with their payment.
2) Membership applications and payment (made payable to: Rutgers University) must be collected by the organization or business up front and submitted at one time to the Golden Dome Athletic Center.
3) Upon receipt of the list of at least 10 names with payments, we will process the memberships within (2) days. Individuals must then come to the GDAC with their current employee ID to receive their picture ID membership card.
4) These terms and conditions must be met each year in order to continue to receive the group rate. As a Golden Dome Athletic Center Member you will have access to our 7,000 square foot exercise room complete with (15) treadmills, (4) recumbent bikes, (3) upright bikes, (9) elliptical cross trainers, (6) Stairmasters, and (4) concept two rowers, as well as Hammer Strength, Life Fitness, and Nautilus strength equipment. You will also have access to our 25 yard (8) lane heated pool, (4) basketball courts, (5) composition tennis courts with lights, (2) racquetball courts a large dance and exercise studio, locker-room facilities and numerous non-credit recreation classes (at additional cost).
The Golden Dome Athletic Center is the iconic symbol of the Rutgers-Newark Campus. The GDAC is the heart of the University’s athletics and recreation program. The geodesic dome main gymnasium has been expanded and upgraded to provide the Rutgers-Newark community with our outstanding indoor athletic arena. A state of the art fitness center, 25-yard pool, recreation gym, racquetball courts, tennis courts, and a dance & exercise studio are also located in the facility.
Membership in The Golden Dome Athletic Center is not just for Rutgers-Newark students, faculty, and staff.
General memberships are offered along with an extensive list of noncredit courses ranging from yoga to adult swimming lessons.
