SOPHOMORE (2013-14): OUTDOOR T&F: NJAC and CTC champion in the hammer throw… Coaches Award winner for unselfish dedication to the team… R-N record of 50.06 meters to place 10th at the ECAC Championships (5/15/14)… All-NJAC first team with winning throw of 49.38 meters at the NJAC Championships (5/3/14)… medalist with winning throw of 49.52 meters at the CTC Championships (4/18/14)… medalist at NJ Invitational (4/12/14) with a best effort of 48.54 meters. INDOOR T&F: All-NJAC second team in the weight throw while posting the eight longest scoring throws in R-N history during the season… reset his own R-N record five times during the spring… unleashed R-N record throw of 15.22 meters at the Molloy Lions Invitational (2/14/14)… finished second at the NJAC Championships (3/1/14) with a throw of 14.40 meters… finished second CTC Championships (2/8/14) with a best effort of 14.38 meters.

PROFILE OF THE WEEK (February 2014)

FRESHMAN (2012-13): OUTDOOR T&F: Second team All-NJAC in the hammer throw while breaking R-N records in the hammer and discus… unleashed personal best throw of 47.82 meters in the hammer to take second place at the NJAC Outdoor Championships and up his own record in the event for the third time… set an R-N record of 37.53 meters in the discus at the Roadrunner Invitational (4/6/13). INDOOR T&F: Established R-N record in the weight throw with a best effort of 12.73 meters at the Thomson Invitational (1/26/13).

HIGH SCHOOL: A key member of three Group 4 championship boys teams as a junior and senior at East Brunswick HS… junior year, the Bears won both the winter and spring group titles before taking the winter title during his senior season… sectional qualifier and Greater Middlesex Conference finalist in the discus… member of two-man (325 feet) and three-man (465 feet) GMC discus relay record holders… honor roll graduate.

PERSONAL: Plans to major in accounting with a minor in political science at R-N… son of Sana and Sammy Saleh… has three younger brothers (Ayman, Mohammed, and Wesam).
