Tina Zaggia joined the Rutgers University-Newark as a volunteer assistant coach in 2020.
Zaggia has previous stops at Domician College where she was the assistant coach from 2014-17. There she played a lead role in athletic training and conditioning—developed and lead workout drills, as well as on-field routines to optimize hitting and fielding abilities. Accompanied head coach on recruiting trips—assessed potential players and provided feedback on selections to enhance team strength. Served as first base coach during games. During her time with Domician College she helped the team finish second-place in the CACC and earn a #10 ranking in the region.
From there she was named the Head Coach at Bergen Community College in 2017. She then moved to Challenge U Softball as a private coach where she instruct camps and clinics along with giving personal hitting, defense and speed and agility lessons. Encourage girls to be mentally strong, tough and confident while being a solid, relaxed and poised player. Teach girls that the values they are taught in lessons and clinics do not only apply to softball, but to their everyday lives as well.
