Shipe joined the Rutgers University-Newark coaching staff in 2021. A two-sport student-athlete at FDU-Florham, Shipe graduated with a Bachelor's of Arts Psychology degree with a minor in Criminology & Sports Management.Â
A four-year starter with the softball team she played shortstop and 2nd base for the Devils. She finished her softball career top-3 in batting average and RBIs. For the women's basketball team, Shipe was a captain in her senior season where she played a combination of forward and center. Alongside being named captain in her final year, she earned Most Valuable Player and the Desilets Award. Her final season saw her average 6.1 points and 6.1 rebounds per game. Against Misericordia, she had her best game with a 10-point, 10-rebound double-double.Â
