Biography

NOTES:  Two-sport standout who became the first women’s track & field athlete in Rutgers-Newark’s brief 5-year history to earn NCAA D-III All-America honors by finishing fourth in the javelin in the Outdoor Nations with a throw of 42.45 meters (139 feet, 3 inches)… 2010-11 Rutgers-Newark Co-Athlete of the Year along with junior soccer standout Liana Abreu… finished second in the javelin at the 2011 NJAC Outdoor Championships… earned one NJAC Women’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week (5/29/11) and one NJAC Women’s Outdoor T&F Rookie of the Week (5/22/11).

SOPHOMORE (2011-12): Played in the first seven games before suffering a season-ending knee injury… averaged 2.9 points and 1.4 rebounds as a reserve forward… tallied nine points with four steals, four rebounds and three assists in an 85-41 win over CCNY (11/22/11).

FRESHMAN (2010-11): Saw action in 25 games to help Scarlet Raiders to a 19-10 record and their first-ever NJAC Championship game appearance… totaled 60 points, 23 rebounds 16 assists and 19 steals… connected on three of four shots, including a 3-pointer, on her way to a career-high nine points in an 84-47 win over CCNY (11/23/10)… notched eight points, two rebounds, an assist and a steal in a 66-50 win over New Jersey City (2/2/11)… contributed five points and two rebounds in R-N’s 65-60 overtime win over Montclair State (2/12/11) which clinched an NJAC Championship Tournament berth in the final conference regular season game… had three steals, three assists, three points and two rebounds in a 72-36 win over York NY (12/10/10).

HIGH SCHOOL: Two-sport standout in basketball and track & field at Burlington Township HS… three-year letterwinner in each sport… two-time All-Liberty Division second team selection in basketball… Christmas Tournament MVP… two-time first-team all-star in track & field while setting the school javelin record… two second-place finishes in the javelin at the state meet… threw in the Meet of Champions as a senior.

PERSONAL: Plans to major in criminal justice at R-N with hopes of becoming a U.S. Marshall… has two brothers (Dwayne and Markie) and two sisters (Carla and Porsche).
