Alexis Sutton is in her first season as an assistant coach on the Rutgers University-Newark women's soccer coaching staff.
Sutton played in 39 matches as a player for the Scarlet Raiders after transferring from Millersville University. A back by trade, Sutton will assist in all aspects of the program and was actually a two-sport standout before coming to Rutgers-Newark as a student-athlete (soccer, lacrosse).
A full-time project manager and business analyst for Augur, Inc. in Bedminster, N.J., Sutton has coached at several area clubs including U.K. Elite and the City Islander Academy before joining the R-N staff.
Head Coach Ariana Ruela on Sutton:
Alexis brings experience in the NJAC and experience as a student-athlete at Rutgers-Newark to our team this year, and I am extremely excited to have her on board. She understands how our program and conference work and will be a valuable asset for me as a coach and to our players.
