Aris Alpian

    Assistant/Goalkeeper Coach

Aris Alpian joined Head Coach Guagliardi’s staff in the spring of 2023 as both an assistant coach as well as being responsible for goalkeeper development. A Queens New York native, Alpian was on the NY POST All-City team along with being the NY Newsday Queens Player of the Year in 1993. He later went on to play at NCAA D1 Hofstra University and in the USL for the New York Freedoms as well as the Long Island Rough Riders U23 team. His collegiate coaching experience includes a significant tenure at Felician University, where he served as both the Women's Head Coach and Men's Assistant Coach from 2015 to 2022. Under his leadership, the team achieved the athletic department's highest team GPA and won the CACC Sportsmanship Award in 2021.

In addition to his coaching roles, Aris is an educator, currently teaching at Newark Central High School where he teaches 11th grade health and special needs physical education. He also played a pivotal role at Happy Feet of New Jersey, a specialized soccer program for toddlers where he served as the Director of Coaching Education. He developed a curriculum tailored to different age groups, managed administrative tasks, and participated in community outreach initiatives.

In an administrative capacity, Alpian served as the Director of NPSL Operations at Brooklyn Italians Soccer Club, overseeing all aspects of NPSL participation. His extensive network and recruiting skills helped establish a strong player pool. Afterwards, Alpian served as the Director of Youth Goalkeeping and USL Assistant Coach at Morris Elite Soccer Club and is currently on staff at Modern Goalkeeping Training Systems who provides specified goalkeeping training throughout New Jersey.

He holds a Master of Science in Sports Management from Southern New Hampshire University, a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Hofstra University, a U.S. Soccer C License and a Premier Diploma from the United Soccer Coaches. Aris resides in Nutley with his wife Anita and two sons Matteo and Manuele.
