Cristina Estremera is in her third season as a member of the Rutgers University-Newark women's soccer coaching staff in 2018.

Estremera helps with all aspects of the program after starring for Rutgers-Newark as a player from 2012-2015. She was the first-ever Scarlet Raider women's player to be named all-conference in four-straight seasons, earning first-team All-New Jersey Athletic Conference honors as a junior and senior.

As a senior she scored 12 goals and handed out six assists, placing second on the team and in the conference with 30 points. 

In total, Estremera scored 35 goals and accumulated 86 points in 88 career matches, leading Rutgers-Newark to 38 victories which is the most in any four-year stretch in the program history.

A clutch player throughout her entire career in Scarlet and Black, Estremera's game-winner in the first round of the NJAC Tournament against nationally-ranked Montclair State University is arguably the biggest goal in program history and was featured on Fox Soccer.

She was a two-time National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-Region performer and is currently completing her undergraduate degree from Rutgers-Newark with the hopes of pursuing a career in physical therapy.

An East Brunswick native and the daughter of Miguel and Norma, Estremera has two older brothers (Gabriel and Miguel and an older sister.
