Teaghan brings a valuable skill set to her coaching aspirations, including expertise in player development, exceptional organizational abilities, strong mentorship and leadership qualities, proficiency with Hudl Video technology, effective verbal communication, a deep understanding of DIII philosophy, and a knack for motivating athletes.
Teaghan's coaching journey began as an Assistant Speed and Agility Coach with Lacey Soccer Club, a role she has passionately embraced since June 2016. Armed with an American Sports and Fitness Association Certification, she has worked with athletes ranging from ages 5 to 16. Her expertise spans various training tools, including speed ladders, hurdles, weighted vests, and parachutes. Teaghan has also collaborated closely with an experienced head coach, contributing to the development of leadership, organization, and coaching skills. She has been instrumental in preparing athletes and their families for college recruiting visits.
From July 2022 to December 2022, Teaghan served as the Head JV/Assistant Varsity Coach at Montclair Kimberley Academy. In this capacity, she led JV practices and assisted with Varsity practices. Teaghan actively contributed to the creation of practice and game plans, resulting in notable achievements. Her team qualified for the Prep B tournament, reached the final round, secured a place in the Essex County tournament, advanced to the quarterfinal round, and earned a spot in the State tournament, making it to the quarterfinal round. Teaghan's coaching prowess is further underscored by her players' accolades, including three named to the 1st team All-Prep B team, two to the 1st team All-American Division, and one to the 2nd team All-American Division. Additionally, she continued to guide athletes and their families through the college recruiting process.
Teaghan also brings valuable educational experience to her coaching journey. She has served as a Substitute Teacher in the Lacey Township School District and Caldwell/West Caldwell School District since September 2021. In this role, she has worked with students in grades K-5, gaining invaluable classroom experience. Teaghan has taught a range of concepts in both general education and special education classrooms, contributing to the academic and social-emotional development of her students.
Teaghan's academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and Psychology from Caldwell University, earned from August 2017 to May 2021. Her undergraduate achievements include certifications in P-3, K-6, and Special Education, along with an impressive undergraduate GPA of 3.82. Currently pursuing a Master of Arts in School Counseling at Caldwell University, Teaghan continues to excel academically, maintaining a GPA of 3.95.
As a testament to her commitment to education, Teaghan serves as a Graduate Assistant in the Education Department at Caldwell University. She is a proud member of the KDE Education Honor Society and the Chi Sigma Iota Counseling Honor Society, further reflecting her dedication to educational and counseling excellence.
Teaghan's athletic journey is a testament to her dedication and leadership. She was an integral part of the Caldwell Women's Soccer Team from August 2017 to November 2021. During her tenure, the team achieved remarkable milestones, including becoming the 2018 CACC Champion and participating in the 2018 NCAA Tournament. Teaghan received numerous accolades, earning 4x CACC Second Team All-Conference, 3x CACC All-Academic Team, 2x ECAC First Team All-Star, and serving as a 2x Team Captain. Her individual honors include 1x CACC First Team All-Conference, 1x D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award, 1x Team Rookie of the Year, and 1x Team MVP.
