McLaughlin chose Rutgers University-Newark because she liked the great academics as well as the atmosphere created by the team... Her hobbies include running, drawing and surfing... Her favorite movie is Grown Ups... Her favorite food is tacos... Her favorite actor is Adam Sandler and her favorite athlete is Manuel Neuer... In her senior year of high school she won the Defensive Player of the Year award as well as the MVP and Coaches Award in track & field... She wants her coaches and teammates to remember her as a hard worker... Her club team is Cedar Stars - Monmouth...
