Dr. Robin Gehrmann

Dr. Robin Gehrmann is an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School . He is Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery and specializes in Arthroscopic Surgery and Sports Related Injuries.

Dr. Gehrmann completed his undergraduate studies at New York University and received his medical degree from Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia . After completion of his Orthopaedic residency training at the New Jersey Medical School , he elected to complete a Sports Medicine fellowship in the University of Pennsylvania Health Care System where he participated in the care of the Philadelphia Eagles, Flyers and men's professional indoor soccer team the Philadelphia KIXX.

Since completing his training Dr. Gehrmann has served as an assistant team Physician for the Philadelphia Eagles, as well as, the director of Sports Medicine at West Virginia University where he was the team physician for several Division I teams including men's and women's soccer and men's baseball.

Dr. Gehrmann specializes in the care of athletic injuries requiring open or arthroscopic surgery and has published articles in these areas. His areas of expertise include ligament reconstruction, tendon repair and cartilage transplantation of the knee, shoulder, elbow and ankle.
