Kelly Yusko

  • Title
    Assistant Coach
Kelly Yusko joined the Rutgers University-Newark coaching staff in 2019 and has helped elevate the program.

Yusko was a former standout for the Scarlet Raiders where she was named New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) All-Conference First Team all four seasons. During her tenure, she started all but three games and was a threat from anywhere on the diamond. In the circle, Yusko was dominant and confused batters with her pitches and when she came to the dish to bat she always led the team.

In high school Yusko was a three-sport athlete in softball, volleyball and basketball at Penn Cambria HS where she earned four letters each in softball and volleyball while playing basketball as a senior for the Panthers. In softball she hurled a perfect game as a sophomore and was an all-state pick as a junior while earning first team All-Laurel Highlands Conference laurels twice. She was the Panthers’ offensive and defensive team MVPs and led the team in batting average as a freshman and senior. During her junior and senior years her teams took back-to-back conference titles. As a sophomore her team reached the District 6 semifinals where she served as captain of the softball and volleyball teams, served as a member of the National Honor Society, ended her high school career with over 400 hurled strikeouts.

Yusko is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Pharmacy and a Masters in Public Health at FDU.
