Barnes Honored For Reaching 1000-Point Plateau

NEWARK, NJ – Junior guard Chadd Barnes was presented with a commemorative basketball prior to Saturday night’s game against Ramapo in The Golden Dome.
The All-NJAC guard netted his 1,000th career point in a 70-34 win over Albany Pharmacy on January 4th in the Sheraton New Years’ Tournament. Barnes had 18 points in the game and was named to the All-Tournament team the next night after netting 19 points against Albright in the championship game.
He went into the Ramapo game with 1,062 points, ranking sixth among all-time scorers in Rutgers-Newark Men’s Basketball history.
