POMONA, NJ – Sophomore Cierra Farquharson (Absecon, NJ/Pleasantville HS) clocked a27:43.59 over the 6-kilometer course as three Rutgers-Newark runners competed in the 2007 New Jersey Athletic Conference Women's Cross Country Championship hosted by Richard Stockton.

Farquharson, the Scarlet Raiders' top finisher in every race this fall, finished 31st in a field of 46 runners dominated by The College of New Jersey. TCNJ took the top seven individual spots in the race to finish with the minimum of 15 points for its top five finishers.

Sophomore Travia Smith (Flemington, NJ/Hunterdon Central) and junior Paulina Vilana (North Brunswick, NJ/North Brunswick Township) finished 38th and 39th, half a minute apart at 32:35.75 and 32:56.44, respectively.
