CAMBRIDGE, MA – Rutgers-Newark sophomore outside hitter Nate Stott hammered down a match-high 14 kills, but Harvard rallied from behind in all three games to take a 3-0 EIVA Hay win in the Malkin Athletic Center. Games scores were 30-26, 30-26, 30-26.

The Raiders (2-5, EIVA Hay 1-1) led 20-14 in game one, 26-25 in game two and 20-18 in game three, but the Crimson (2-0, EIVA Hay 1-0) closed out each game with runs to take the win.
Stott hit .292 and added five digs and two assisted blocks while freshman setter Jeff Zornig collected 38 assists, served two of the Raiders' three aces and got in on three of the team's eight blocks.
Junior right side Kenny Rienecker chipped in nine kills and got in on three blocks for Rutgers-Newark while sophomore middle hitter Kenneth Stumbaugh was in on a game-high six blocks and added seven kills. Freshman Nick Johnson hit .500 with six kills and just one error on 10 swings.
Senior outside hitter Jordan Weitzen led the Harvard with nine kills while Erik Kuld and Brady Weissbourd added six kills apiece. Sophomore setter Gil Weintraub had 26 assists.
Rutgers-Newark lost despite notching 13 more kills and gaining an 8.5-to-7.0 edge in blocking.
