NEWARK, NJ – Sophomore middle hitter Jon Keller hit .769 with 11 kills on 13 swings and got in on six of Rutgers-Newark's 11 blocks to help the Scarlet Raiders down East Stroudsburg, 3-0, in The Golden Dome Classic. Game scores were 30-25, 30-26, 30-19.

Classic MVP Noel Garcia pounded down 20 kills while hitting .500 and added a team-high nine digs and three assisted blocks as Mt. Olive (8-4) stopped Harvard, 30-26, 30-27, 30-32, 30-22. The win gave the North Carolina team the de facto Classic championship as the only team in the field with a 2-0 record.
Keller was named to the All-Classic team along with freshman setter Jeff Zornig who chalked up 47 assists, delivered four of the Raiders' seven aces, got in on two blocks and dumped in three kills in just four attempts. With sophomore outside hitter Nate Stott hammering down a match high 18 kills, Rutgers-Newark hit a solid .320 to the Warriors' .083.

All-Classic selection Chris Holden posted 11 kills on .316 hitting while adding an ace and two assisted blocks for East Stroudsburg (1-5). The Warriors also got five kills and five digs from junior outside hitter Jesse Landis while senior setter John Post contributed 19 assists, a service ace, two solo blocks and two assisted blocks.
In the first match, Mt. Olive senior setter Zach Wilson, who tallied 56 assists while feeding his teammates for a .336 hitting percentage, joined Garcia on the All-Classic Team. The Trojans also got 14 kills and three solo blocks from junior outside hitter Pedro Penate. Sophomore outside hitter Osvaldo Perez added 11 kills, eight digs and three assisted blocks while sophomore middle hitter Jose Lanier got in on a team-high eight blocks while making 10 kills and four digs.
All-Classic selection Erik Kuld notched a tournament-high 26 kills for Harvard (4-3) while sophomore setter Gil Weintraub chalked up 61 assists and two aces to join Kuld on the team.
Junior middle blocker Brady Weissbourd hammered down 15 kills while hitting .480 and was involved in four blocks for the Crimson which also got 14 kills and a match-high 11 digs from senior outside hitter Jordan Weitzen.
