FLUSHING, NY – Rutgers-Newark senior Baris Sonmez lost a heartbreaker, 7-5, 3-6, (11-9) on the No. 5 singles court, but he was the only Scarlet Raider to go three sets as Baruch rolled to a 9-0 win at the National Tennis Center.

First-year head coach Maggie Krakowiak's young team ran into an experienced Bearcat team which upped its record to 4-2.

Sophomore Brian Barbera fell to Carlos Ruiz, 6-1, 6-4, on the sixth flight single court, but no other Raider posted more than four game victories in singles play. Baruch dropped just two of 26 games in doubles.
