MAHWAH, NJ – Rutgers-Newark got off only eight shots against a tough Ramapo defense as the Scarlet Raiders fell, 5-0, to the Roadrunners in the New Jersey Athletic Conference opener for each squad.

Ramapo (5-2-0, NJAC 1-0-0) got goals from five different players while outshooting the Raiders, 19-8. The Roadrunners constructed an 8-0 edge in corner kicks, and five of their eight shots on goal got past sophomore goalkeeper
